Changing over to using SDR# and IFAverage on both LRO-H1 and LRO-H2 radio telescopes 21/12/2024

Having now mapped the Milky Way successfully using the Ptarmigan Array (LRO-H1) radio telescope over the last year, it is clear that there are some issues with signal to noise ratio and RFI. Also the solar cooker radio telescope (LRO-H2) is not performing as expected – hence I have today changed data collection over to SDR Sharp software with IFAverage plugin in order to check the scope’s perfomance against criteria from Alex Pettit, a member of SARA with considerable expertise in the area.
