Ptarmigan Triffid Dipole Array

Hi Andy

I asked a former colleague from work to help identify your antenna.

He had direct oversight of the Ptarmigan and Triffid projects whilst I was working on unrelated projects.

He has confirmed that it is indeed a Triffid antenna.

It operates in what was known as military band 3 from 1350 to 1850 MHz as a ‘corner reflector’ design. Manufactured by Siemens and used to provide a radio relay in interconnect geographically dispersed nodes of the Ptarmigan system.
