Cake Pan and Aluminium Flashing Design for Making Cantennae

Alex Pettit, of SARA, has recommended a design for making a cantenna based on using aluminium roof flashing wraped in layers to produce a tube, and a 6 inch cake pan over one end.

“The Cake_Pan/Al_Flashing design allows you to install the Feed Point with the cake pan having a 1 cm or so gap beyond the flashing and then tapped into proper position via a VNA to optimize the Z match before drilling and screwing to lock in the spacing.”
