Poem: Vastly Vexed at Very Large Array
Vastly Vexed at Very Large Array
Poem (c) by Andrew Thornett April 2025 in the style of Robbie Burnes
Vast dishes o’ metal, they stand in a row,
Vainly they whisper tae stars high an’ low.
Vexed are the scholars, their heads full o’ din,
Vying wi’ space waves frae galaxies thin.
Vultures may circle, but ken ye this truth—
Vermin an’ rust cannae steal frae its youth.
Vortex o’ signals swirl roon in its lair,
Vexin’ astronomers pullin’ their hair!
Vast is the cosmos, aye big as can be,
Vague are its secrets, yet we hae the key.
Victors o’ knowledge, we’ll no let it stray,
Vouchin’ forever—Lang live VLA!
